UPSC CMS Exam Pattern Overview
1. Written Examination (Computer Based Test – 500 Marks):
- Paper I (250 Marks – 2 Hours): General Medicine & Paediatrics (120 Questions).
- Paper II (250 Marks – 2 Hours): Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Preventive & Social Medicine (120 Questions).
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer.
2. Personality Test (100 Marks):
- Candidates qualifying the written test will be called for Document Verification and Interview / Personality Test.
💡 How to Download UPSC CMS Admit Card 2026:
- Visit UPSC official website at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
- Click on the “e – Admit Cards for Various Examinations of UPSC” link.
- Select “Combined Medical Services Examination, 2026”.
- Read the exam instructions carefully and click on “Yes” to proceed.
- Choose option to login via Registration ID or Roll Number.
- Enter your credentials, Date of Birth, Captcha Code, and click on Submit.
- Your UPSC CMS Admit Card will appear on screen. Download PDF and take a printout.
⚠️ Important Instructions for Exam Day:
- Bring a printed copy of your e-Admit Card along with original Photo Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / Passport / Driving License).
- Carry 2 recent passport-size photographs if your photo on the admit card is blurred or unclear.
- Reach the exam centre at least 30-45 minutes before entry gate closing time.
