Post Short Detail: Information: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the information brochure for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026. Candidates who are interested in taking admission through NEET UG 2026 exam can apply online from 08/02/2026 to 11/03/2026. Candidates are advised to carefully read the NEET UG 2026 information brochure—which contains all details regarding the entrance examination, such as the syllabus, eligibility criteria, age limit, fees, list of courses and universities, and other relevant information—before proceeding to apply.

Eligibility for NTA NEET 2026 UG Code Wise

 Code Eligibility
NEET UG Code 01:
  • Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination (i.e. Class 12) in 2025 and whose results are yet to be declared can apply and appear for this exam; But, if they do not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage by the time of the first round of counselling, they will not be eligible for admission to MBBS or BDS.
NEET UG Code 02 :
  • Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to the 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination, conducted after 12 years of study; the last two years of this study must have included Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (including practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other optional subject. Additionally, it should also include English at a level not lower than the core course in English prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT); this provision has been established following the implementation of the 10+2+3 educational structure, based on the recommendations of the National Committee on Education.
NEET UG Code 03 :
  • Intermediate/Pre-Degree examination in Science conducted by an Indian University/Board or any other recognized examination body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (including practical examination of these subjects) and English as compulsory subjects.
NEET UG Code 04 :
  • The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics ,Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects and also English as a mandatory subject.
NEET UG Code 05 :
  • he first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in these subjects the examination provided is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology with English at a level not less than a core course.
NEET UG Code 06 :
  • B.Sc.Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc.Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
NEET UG Code 07 :
  • Any other examination which is in scope and standard
    consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology; which shall include
    practical testing in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science
    Exam of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and
    Biology / Biotechnology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English.
